Hi, I'm Algren

I have been part of two different squads during my time as a senior at Flutter UKI. In the Notflix Squad, I built and maintained an internal experimentation platform that enables A/B testing across the entire UK&I business using TypeScript and Java SDKs. In the Vulcan Squad, I technically led a personalisation project that integrated multiple services to deliver tailored content based on the user's preferences. I'm also a core maintainer of our inner-source repository, mentor engineers and graduates, and contribute to hiring decisions and technical training programs.

Joined Sky Betting & Gaming's Sky Vegas tribe, working with cutting-edge technology including Next.js, TypeScript, AWS, and Docker. Led the technical migration of a key business page from REST to GraphQL using Apollo, significantly improving data reliability, maintainability, and response times. Developed solutions compliant with Safer Gambling guidelines and contributed to knowledge sharing across the organization. This role ended in an internal promotion to Senior Software Engineer.

Working with Angular, TypeScript, JavaScript and of course HTML, CSS & SASS to maintain Vertu Motor's 14 websites. I had the opportunity to work on various different parts of software development, from fixing bugs on the websites, to creating a chatbot

Cartea Daliei is a non-profit organization that works with children from Romania. I teach a class of 4 children aged between 11-12 the fundamentals of coding with Scratch. After 6 weeks of lessons, I have prepared them for a Hackathon-type project where they got to work together as a team and create an animation.
